The Body, Mind, Qi Way
Your Inner World Creates Your Outer Experience
Real healing happens in community. See the faces of transformation.
Body Wisdom Academy specializes in Subtle Body Work™, a comprehensive trauma release methodology developed by licensed acupuncturist Leslie Huddart. Unlike traditional talk therapy that addresses only the mental layer, our approach works with the complete mind-body-spirit system where trauma is actually stored.
What is Subtle Body Work? Drawing from Chinese Medicine, Vedic traditions, and modern somatic therapeutics, Subtle Body Work™ teaches you to decode your body's unique language. Trauma isn't just a mental experience—it's encoded in multiple layers of your subtle body system, creating persistent anxiety, imposter syndrome, relationship patterns, and emotional triggers that conventional therapy often can't resolve.
Who We Serve: Empaths, healers, therapists, coaches, yoga teachers, and spiritual practitioners who've completed certifications and therapy but still feel stuck. Our clients report releasing lifelong trauma blocks in months rather than years, experiencing lasting inner peace, clarity on life purpose, and freedom from generational patterns.
Our Programs: 16-week certification training, Coach Practitioner training track, individual coaching sessions, and community support for both personal healing and professional development. Learn repeatable techniques to dissolve triggers at their source—not just manage symptoms—using evidence-based methods rooted in ancient wisdom and clinical practice.

You learn to safely come back into your body, feel and map your sensations, and work with your energy system so you can shift how you feel in the moment and no longer get stuck in endless spirals.
Once your system has some safety and skill, we guide you step by step into the deeper layers where your old patterns and triggers are held, and teach you how to release them at the root.
We help you bring this into relationships, boundaries, work, purpose, and your actual day-to-day life so change is not just internal, but shows up in how you live and choose.
This isn't theory. This is real-life applicable work that creates measurable results.
Meet Your Guide & Our Founder
I am a natural health expert and spiritual guide who combines ancient healing wisdom, modern neuroscience, and mindfulness to get you healing results where other methods have failed.
My specialty is helping fellow healers and empaths take the shortcut to personal success, soul alignment, true confidence, and freedom from anxiety and insecurity.
I know what it's like to struggle because I've been there myself. I grew up as an unguided empath struggling with family dynamics, an unbalanced relationship with food, and disappointing romantic relationships. All these struggles pushed me to dive into yoga, spiritual study, and the healing arts.
Over the past 20+ years of working with clients in my mind-body healing and natural health practice, I've developed a system of working with the subtle body that will amplify your healing to help you get to where you're truly meant to be.
"Together, we'll heal and release the issues stuck in your mind-body-spirit system that have been secretly holding you back."
Now, we're training a community of powerful healers to take this work into the world for themselves and others. Are you our next Soul Warrior?

Your positive thinking might be holding you back!
We're going to talk about how positive thinking can actually become a block on your personal and spiritual growth path.
If you can understand how this works, you can open up the door to making even faster progress and a deeper way in your spiritual personal growth path.
I want to show you a two step simple process that you can do to get the benefit of positive thinking without the parts that hold you back.
The first thing to know when we're talking about how positive thinking can hold you back, it needs to be said first that, yes, positive thinking can be good and in the spectrum of things, positive thinking is better than negative thinking. I am not arguing that at all. This is a truth.
If you have the choice to think negative thoughts and self talk, it's better to have positive thoughts. This does make a difference.
However, at a certain point there also becomes a danger if we only want to think in positive ways.
When we start to notice that we only want to think about positive, happy things to the exclusion of other things that are coming up that may be considered negative or disturbing or scary or just unpleasant for any reason.
If we start to push those aside, even when they naturally arise, we're in danger of what is sometimes called spiritual bypassing, which is this kind of glossing over new age-y whitewashing of things where we just go, "Oh, it's all good, no worries. That's just their path".
It becomes an actual kind of rosy-colored glasses denial of what's actually true. So here are two simple steps that you can take to make sure that you're using the positive parts without getting stuck into spiritual bypass.
I've done this myself. There was a time in my life where I was just graduated from acupuncture school. I'd already done yoga teacher training in India. I was on this path.
Yet there were certain aspects of my personal growth or especially around stuff around judging people, which is a little bit of my mentally energetic constitutional tendency, or stuff around men and relationships that I would get to a certain point and then just sort of skip over it and not talk about it.
I know what it's like to struggle with this. It's a natural thing to fall into spiritual bypass, but we always want to bring ourselves back to having better and to really bringing things towards the light.

One of my favorite spiritual verses comes from the Gnostic scrolls, the gospel of Thomas. It goes something like "if you bring forth that which is within you, what you bring forth will set you free. If you did not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you."
I think this is a very poignant spiritual insight that any time we have something positive or negative that remains hidden remains overlooked and unearthed.
It can be the thing that really throws a monkey wrench in our growth personally and spiritually.
Let's get down to the simple procedure steps.
Step number one I call curious flashlight.
I want you to imagine that you are holding a flashlight of your awareness, turning into the inside and looking around.
Let's say you're upset about something. There's an issue that's going on. Once you get centered, take a few deep breaths. As you sort of explore, imagine that your eyeballs are turning inwards. As if you're holding a flashlight of your awareness, you start to look around at the issue.
Then you practice objective inventory of what you find.
This can be something like filling in the blank of a phrase,
"Hmm, I noticed that..."
"Hmm, I noticed that there's a tightness."
"When I think about this subject, I noticed that there's a feeling of fear."
"I notice that I'm feeling kind of ashamed and I don't even want to talk about it."
"I noticed that I think I might be angry at so-and-so".
You can use this process of the curious flashlight of imagining and just kind of noticing, and then objectively stating what you notice as if you're filling in the blank—"Hmm, I noticed that..."
That's the curious part of the curious flashlight.
Step two is what I call death threats.
Now, this might sound kind of scary, but it's important to know that when we start to disengage with spiritual bypass and really start to see what's on the inside, the mind, is partly going to kick up and try to protect some things.
What that feels like is you may feel a lot of fear coming up. You might feel like this is going to kill me if I go any deeper. I want you to know that in the healing spiritual growth process, there are unavoidably points where as you're going through and bringing things up into the light, that you're going to feel something that feels like death or overwhelm.
This is perfectly normal. I'm telling you this because I want you to not be alarmed or think that something is wrong. When that happens, that's actually a sign that something is going right.
What the process for working through this is what I call "trust for two more seconds".
Imagine that you're looking at things and you start to feel a little uncomfortable. Maybe you have a conscious thought of like,
"Ooh, I don't really want to go here."
Or, "Hmm, this might feels like it's overwhelming or it's going to kill me."
Or, "If I open up this can of worms, it might be a bottomless pit."
These are just empty death threats that your mind and what I call your Protector System are making in order to erroneously try to protect you by trying to keep this thing suppressed.
We go all through this in my Subtle Body Certifications and other trainings of really equipping you how to deal with these things in a very calm way. But the basic procedure for this death threat of how to deal with them is you just trust for two more seconds as that comes up.
You just take a deep breath and you say, "Okay, I'm probably not going to die for two more seconds. Let me just come up". Let it come up and you'll notice that if you can hang on for two more seconds and then another two more seconds and then another two more seconds and then another two more seconds, you'll notice that things get lighter and lighter and that you don't die and nothing explodes.
I can't emphasize how important this is with any kind of somatic healing process and for you to know that these are all important things that will happen in our good sign for getting you to be actually lighter and able to really face the darkness in a way that is very open and welcoming.
I promise you that this process will help support you in becoming more and more of who you actually are, which is really your light on the inside that all of this other stuff is just laid over top.
So when you are feeling like you need in your life to start turning more towards things that maybe you've been spiritually bypassing past, you're going to do two things—the curious flashlight, in which you practice objective inventory of the story that you notice with things like, "Hmm, I noticed that..."
And you're going to watch out for number two—death threats from your mind and your Protector System where you're going to just trust for two more seconds and then again for two more seconds and then again for two more seconds for as long as you need to let that wave come up and through.
I hope you found this helpful. I am sending you love!
Your personal and spiritual growth is important. Keep going!

Keep going!

"It's all good."
Love and light, puppies and rainbows.
